Popcorn & Cranberries

This holiday craft was a bit more difficult than squeezing icing tubes onto cookies. However, I really think it put everyone in the holiday spirit. And they sure did come out pretty. I entertained my pal, Stephen, so Chrystine could join in on the fun, too. Look for this garland on Meema's Christmas tree this year.
Can you believe that crazy Stephen actually ate raw cranberries by the handful? That kid is crazy.

Icing

I think I realized what the best part of decorating Christmas cookies is- squeezing the most obscene amount of icing on them possible. It's now four days later and I still don't think they've dried. Look how pretty our cookies are.

I didn't think I could ever have so much fun with icing, sugar, sprinkes and chocolate chips.

Cookie Party

I love a road trip with my friends. On Saturday, we packed as many people and children as we possibly could in Mama's Focus and headed upstate to Meema's house. First, ine.we picked up Mama's friend Jessica in Hoboken and then went and got Chrystine and Stephen. How we fit an adult woman a two carseats in the backseat, I'll never know, but it worked. Then again, I wasn't the one wedged between two little boys with snack and juice demands. Sorry, Auntie Chrystine.
The occassion? Meema's First Annual Cookie Party. She invited us, my famous "girls" (Morgan, Courtney & Jessi), and her neighbor, Maddie (who also happens to be one of the sweetest 11 year olds ever). We donned aprons, listened to Christmas and decorated gingerbread cookies. Meema eve made us all a cookie with our intials on them! After we were all cookie-d out, we strung popcorn and cranberries. I made a necklace and then lost interest. The big kids seem to really enjoy this one. Stephen didn't really participate in either of these activities, but he did like Meema's refrigerator toys. It was a very fun and festive day. Ho-ho-ho!

Pumping It Up With Justin

Last Saturday, I went to the coolest birthday party ever! My best friend Justin from school is turning the big 4 on Christmas Day, so his birthday was celebrated a few weeks before. We went to a place called Pump It Up. As soon as we got there, we took our shoes off and got jumping! There was a bounce house, an inflatable maze and a giant slide. It was great. A few of my friends from school came, as you can see to the left. That's Robbie, Harrison, Sinay, me & Justin. It was really cool seeing my school friends on a Saturday. There were also video games and air hockey- something we kids discovered we were quite good at. Much to Mama's pleasure, I seem to have gotten Daddy's hand/eye coordination. It was really neat that the "big kids" could play along, too. Justin had so many fun family members to play with. Here is Justin and his very nice Mommy, Miss Celina playing the racing game. Mama and I even went into the bounce house together... over and over and over again. I think I may have seen her (and some of the other adults) sweating and drinking lots of water.

After we jumped around for a good hour, we had pizza and (giant) cupcakes and sang "Happy Birthday." Justin gave out really neat goodie bags with candy and tattoos and cards and pencils. Needless to say, I was fast asleep by the time we left the parking lot. I hope Justin's actual birthday is just as fun as his party was! Happy Birthday, buddy!

Yeah, it's Santa. Great... whatever.

On Saturday, Mama & Aunt Arlene took me the Short Hills Mall to see Santa. (He left the North Pole and came to New Jersey. Go figure.) The display they had for Santa was very cool. It was called SnowGlobes 2008 and featured the Polar Express! No wonder Santa came all the way down. It made the line a lot more fun, even if I did see the parents sort of grimacing as I pulled the pretend train brake lever for the 900th time, thus making a very loud noise. I was so into the display, that I really did want to see Santa. As you can tell by my face, I was less than impressed. Just bring me the presents, old man! (Just kidding. Santa was very nice to me. I told him I wanted Batman toys and he complimented my festive bell necklace. So we're friends.)
