Thank you, GPS!

On Saturday, Meema came down to celebrate Mother's Day with us. Mama & Meema are always on a quest to do fun things, so after much internet research, we all decided to go to a train museum in Flemington called Northlandz. It was huge! When the man who sold us the tickets told us that it would take an hour and a half to walk through, Mama looked a bit concerned. But the models were really quite spectacular. I couldn't believe how much there was to see and how big and detailed they were! (Ok, so we all agreed that the La Peep doll exhibit was a bit creepy, but the trains were rather neat.) After the walk through (and the pretzel from the "Club Car Cafe") we took the train ride. It wasn't the best day, so there weren't a lot of people there and we got the train all to ourselves. I really enjoy a good train ride; so much so that it's usually a bit of a struggle to get me to leave. But there was talk of going to see animals and eating candy, so I was okay.
After we left Northlandz, we took Meema to Alstede Farms in Chester, where Claudia's party was. We really had no idea where we were going, but since we have a fancy navigation system, we just put in the address and off we went. The ride was beautiful-we got to see farms, flowers and rivers and it gave us plenty of car time to sing silly songs and crack jokes. When we finally arrived, I showed Meema the animals and we had a very good laugh at one of the chickens who had a really silly hair-do. After that, we headed back towards home and ate dinner at Charlie Brown's Steakhouse. I got a balloon and Meema and Mama got to visit the salad bar, so everyone was happy. However, I discovered that it is apparently in bad taste to take one's pants AND diaper off while eating there. Who knew? Anyway, the food was quite good; in fact, my grilled cheese and Meema's parmesan chicken were even better the next morning.

What an exciting day. I was pooped when I got back to hotel. But more about that later.

Comments:
