Oopa!
This past Saturday, Mama and I went to the 2008 St. George Greek Festival. It took place at Mama's co-worker's Eleni church and apparently she had been telling Mama what a great time it would be. The weather was nice on Saturday and I love good food and music, so we decided to go. Man, am I glad we did. Here are some highlights: souvlaki, Greek fries, gyros, toys, cotton candy, juice boxes, dancing. I think that pretty much sums up the afternoon.
Thia Eleni is so very nice! She bought us all the food we enjoyed and even took me shopping for the toys. Not only do these Greeks know how to party, but they're so kind and generous.
And I think I discovered one of my new favorite things- meat on a stick. Although the cotton candy was pretty tasty, too. I'm pretty glad that "outdoor festival" season has offically begun.
