"My mom's here."
On Friday, my daycare had a Mother's Day brunch! The teachers at school put out a wonderful spread of food (Miss Christie made the best scrambled eggs-- yum!) and all the moms came in to eat. It was so exciting to see all my friend's mommies and I could tell Mama was happy to meet them, too, along with all my little friends. Finally, she can put a face to the names of all the kids I talk about. Mama also got to meet Miss Bonnie, who is one of my teachers and my favorite reading buddy. It was really neat having Mama at school. I showed her my favorite toys, the books I like to read, the craft projects I do. I was so excited that I told everyone who would listen that, "my mom's here." Everyone thought was really cute.
After Mama left and went to work, all of us kids in the Cubs class made pictures for our moms for Mother's Day. It has my handprint and a little poem and I even got to decorate it with paint. The teachers put it into a frame for Mama and I think I saw her tear up a bit when she got it. I love this place!Subscribe to Comments [Atom]
