Chariots of Fire

Well, Mama did it! She ran her first 5K on Sunday. I was very, very proud of her. She did it in a pretty impressive time for her first go! And setting your mind to something and then doing is a good lesson for yours truly! I didn't even mind that it was a bit chilly (although I refused to wear the scarf that Mama knitted for me). She ran the Giralda Farms Run in Madison. I just couldn't believe all the action and how many people were there. One of the best parts was after the race was over, I got enjoy some refreshments. Everyone kept joking that I "ran a great a race." Hey, I noticed that they have family teams, so maybe someday Mama and I can run together. Now wouldn't that be cool? Here is Mama after the race, hugging her greatest inspiration and the absolute love of her life-- me!

Comments:
yay for your mama, joodles! i was quite impressed and even happier to know that you were bundled up snug and warm - BRrrrr... my bean-a-licious isn't even allowed out of the house in this weather since HIS mama is such a scare-d-cat and doesn't want him to get hypothermia or anything...
Looking forward to more of your adventures... hope you have many this weekend and on the big T-day! Hey, Jude (i love saying that - it tickles me so!) - how many turkeys can YOU eat???

Your Mama is some special lady,Jude, you are one lucky little boy to have such a great Mom !!

I know because she's a great daughter. The one thing you and I will always have in common,Jude, is how how proud we both are of her.
