Happy New Year!

February 18, 2007 was Chinese New Year! It is officially the year of the pig, which apparently is very lucky. Actually, it's a very fortunate to be born in this year. Let's not get crazy, though-- there's no way my sibling is going to be born this year. But anyway, the year of the pig is supposed to be very fortunate in regard to making money. So let's hope M&D make the big dollars this year, so this toddler can get lots of new toys!

Anyway, I celebrated the new year with Auntie Chung and Uncle Mike at Chung's mom's house. We all had to wear red, so it's a good thing I had this onesie in my arsenal. Momma Chiang made a delicious spread of food for us to eat. I even got my own red envelope! They're given for good luck and guess what... they have money in them. I didn't even know it had cash it in at the time, but don't I look excited anyway? I love gifts. I wonder what I should do with my bucks?! Actually, getting the envelope was a bit touch and go. Momma Chiang said I would only get it if I ate my dinner. Naturally, I was more interested in playing and showing off than eating. But she caved and gave it to me anyway! Thanks so much for thinking of me, Momma Chiang.

Here we are dancing right before we went home. I was sort of crashing after my sugar high, so I look a bit dazed. Ringing in the new year is always so exhausting!

And a Happy New year to you, too,my lad !! You look quite handsome in red--your grandpappy's favorite color !! Now you were born in the Year Of The Rooster and you were dressed in red so that makes you--you guessed it--a red rooster. Tell your Mother to play you the Rolling Stones' song "Red Rooster" so you can show the world your "blues" groove !!~
