Big Ben
Mommy's friend, Jen, had her third baby boy a few weeks back! Can you believe it? Three boys! Andrew is about 6.5, Dalton just turned two and then there's Benjamin, AKA Ben. Jen's mommy and mother-in-law threw her a surprise party on Saturday to celebrate Ben's arrival. Grandma was also invited (she friends with Jen's mommy, Sandy), so Mommy and I decided to drive upstate to go. We had such a good time! Dalton had some really cool toys to play with. I didn't really know anyone, so I was kind of shy, but I was very well behaved. I even got to help open gifts! Ben was very cute (Mommy hates this picture of herself, but it's the only of Ben.) I got to pet his little head while Mommy held him and talked about how cute and little he was. She was definitely in love. Although she happily gave Ben back when he started to fuss. I really can't believe that I was ever that small!
I had a really great time, all in all. Lots of snacks were eaten, and I also got cake, which is never bad. I also got some quality time with Grandma. I totally melted her heart, as always. When we parted ways at the end of the party, I sat in my carseat waving, saying, "Bye Grandma!" in my sweet, little Joodles voice. I think I saw her tearing up. Man, I have that lady wrapped around my fat baby finger. Oh, before we went to the party, we went to Grandma's house and here's a funny picture of us. As you can tell from other posts, I love wearing glasses--sunglasses, reading glasses, whatever. Aren't we silly?
After we left the party, we went to Grandpappy Robo's house for dinner. He and Marion made a delicious spread of chicken, stuffing, cranberry sauce, potatoes... you name it! As usual, I had no interest in eating dinner. There were so many new things to play with! Grandpappy and I had a blast together trying on hats, running all around and giggling. He's really a fun grandpa. I've gotten very lucky in the grandparent department, that's for sure. Although dinner didn't really wow me, Marion's delcious apple & blackberry crisp sure did. Wow, that was good! Mommy sure liked it, too. After we had dessert, Mommy put my jammies on and next thing I knew I was back in NJ. Wow, what a day!# posted by The Joodles : 8:27 PM

Hey Joodles, I had a blast too !!! And you know something--you have picked up your Grandpappy's talent for looking cool in all kinds of hats,you know what I'm saying. We sure had fun bouncing on the bed ,too. You can really bounce and laugh at the same time. Perhaps a trampoline circus act is in your future--LOL !!! What fun we had with my pocket change. I am still finding coins all over the house and I gigggle everytime I find one. I had a wonderful time with you and thanks for stopping by and seeing us. You the best grandson in the whole wide world. But what can one expect--you have the charming Fusco blood in your veins !!

It was so good to see you again, Jude. You looked so cool in your camo pants! Thank you for bringing Mommy and Grandma to the party, too. I really did enjoy our visit, it has been much too long since we got together. Chrissy really did get sick Saturday night. I sure hope she did not give her bug to any of you.
Boy, Jude, you really know how to have a good time..........you may not have known anyone when you came in but you had them all eating out of your hand before you left. You were the little life of the party, just like your Mommy was when she was younger. She hung out with her friend, and my daughter, Jen. They were always cooking up something together! I really think Mommy just came over for the oreos and the o.j. because Grandma only let her eat really healthy stuff from the health food store. I was amused to see the pictures of you when you were little and Grandma was feeding you cake. I don't think she would have let Mommy have cake when she was that little.
I will let you in a little secret, Jude. Grandchildren are so much more fun than children -- that is why Grandma and Grandpappy Robo have so much fun with you!
I cannot wait until you have another play date (play week?) at Grandma's. I will have to bring Dalton over or you will have to come here so you can have a whole day to play together.
It is kind of sad only to see Mommy and Daddy at parties and stuff. I used to see your Mommy all of the time. I wish you lived closer and I know Grandma does, too!

Hey Jude! It's your buddy, Dalton! I am so glad that you were able to come to my Mommy's party! I know she was very happy to see you, your Mommy and Grandma! I am glad you had fun playing with my toys! Especially my firetruck...RAISE UP THE LADDER! Maybe next time we get to hang out it won't take us so long to actually play together!!

Sounds like you had a very busy day, I was very tired by the end of the day. My Daddy really should have let me nap before the party!
