Sauce

Did you know that you're supposed to eat sauce on Sunday? It's the Italian way, afterall. For dinner tonight, I ate about 10 spinach and cheese ravioli. They were just so good. I was addicted to pesto all summer, so I wasn't that into your typical red sauce, if you will. But I've changed my tune. I'm particularly partial to rotini, tortellini and now, ravioli. I just love that Italian cuisine. Just don't give me eggplant-- I'm still recovering from the eggplant parm incident of 2006. I was up all night! Talk about agada.
I also learned a very good trick-- how to dunk one's bread into sauce and then enjoy. Here I am using Grandma's plate as my dunk dish. Everyone looked a bit grossed out when I sucked the sauce off my bread and then re-dunked over and over again. What, is that a faux pas?

Comments:
Well, well, well,my little bambino, glad you like the tradition. Yes,it's true. When Mommy was younger
we would always eat pasta and gravy (that's what the real Italians call it-so tell Mommy--sauce-cheesh!!) Hopefully, when you have time from you busy schedule, you can stop by on a Sunday and Granpappy Robo can make you some of his special gravy with the percatelli (the thick spagetti with the hole on the middle). They are great for putting in your mouth and then sucking up the rest so it swirls in your mouth!! What fun !! Marion makes great garlic bread for,you guessed it,dunking. And I don't mean the donuts !! So tell Mommy you want Sunday GRAVY with Grandpappy sometime soon !!!
