Getting Acclimated

Well, I'm not sure how much Mystic likes me. It's almost like he's a little afraid of me. He barks and then I get nervous and climb all over Mama and cry a little and then Mystic gets more afraid. Yeah, it's a vicious circle like that and pretty ridiculous to watch. It seems like I'm not the only one this happens to, so I think its workable. And I should mention that this only happens a small fraction of the time. Mystic and I even sat on Mary's bed together to watch TV. Mary is where it is AT. She really, really likes me and even let me eat some of her chicken and ice cream the other night. She told me that we could go see "Hotel for Dogs" together. Cool, right? She seems pretty excited that she has an excuse to watch cartoons now that I'm there. She's been very welcoming and it's very fun.
Also, I love my new Thomas bed. I'm still not used to the new house, so I prefer to sleep with Mama. But I'll get there, I know I will. It's a very fun place so far and we're very happy to be there. I especially like how the car is parked right outside and we don't have to walk two blocks in the cold every morning and night. (OK, truth be told, I didn't really mind, but I could tell that sometimes my lollygagging would be a bit annoying to Mama at 7:00am. Fair enough, I guess.)
Anyway, we love Little Falls. Everyone just HAS to come and visit me!

Moving Day

Even though I didn't participate in it, Sunday was our big moving day! Peepa came down to Aunt Arlene's house to help with his truck. I spent the day frolicking in the snow with Daddy and Uncle Erik, but I'm told the day went off rather effortlessly. I know that Mama was very appreciative of all of Peepa's help and was more than a little excited when her bed finally arrived from 1800-Mattress that evening! Peepa took a few pics that I think are pretty goofy that I thought I would share. And, I have to give my dear Peepa some props for all of his help. He really liked our new house and our new roommate Mary and even took a picture of the toilet! HA!

And even though we are very happy to have our new home, Mama & I are both very sad to leave Aunt Arlene! She took us in and we enjoyed our time with her very much. Thank you, Auntie! Love ya! You can officially have your living room back! :)

Our New House!

It's a very exciting time in Mama & Jude's life! We're moving into our new home on Saturday with Mary and her puppy god, Mystic! Isn't it cute? I'll be sure to take lots of pics of my new bedroom and such when we're settled, but we thought everyone would like to see what it looks like in the meantime. Wish us luck with the move!

It's Christmas (AKA- PRESENTS!!!!!!)
Christmas morning finally arrived! Although, I should mention that it wasn't my first visit from Santa this year. He must've known that I would be in NY on 12/25, so he dropped off some gifts at Daddy's house the day before (which I loved). But when I stumbled out of my bedroom at Meema's house, I could tell this was the big time. And can you believe they made me wait a bit to open them? I think I heard something about brushing hair just in case photos were snapped. Come on, who cares!Let's just say this- Christmas was great and Santa brought us all so many great things. I got Batman toys, a tent for my bed, games, an easel, art supplies, clothing, movies. Mama and I even got a Crockpot! And the crafty little guy that I am, I made some birdseed for me and Meema to feed the birds together, a calendar for Mama, a painted frame with a picture of yours truly for Peepa. The list goes on and one. Everyone seemed to really love everything they received. It was great! We're so blessed!

Santa Claus Is Coming to Town (Woodstock, that is)
Woodstock, NY is the cute, artsy town where Mama grew up. Every year on Christmas Eve, Santa makes a grand entrance right as it gets dark. Santa has a very busy night ahead of him, so I think it's very cool that he comes to Woodstock before handing out all of his toys. Mama was very excited to take me this year. I sat on Peepa's shoulders, just as Mama used to when I was her age. It was a crappy night and we got rained on. But it was worth it. Mama was so engrossed in catching up with Auntie Marilyn that she didn't take many pictures. But I think you can tell by the look on my face that it was pretty transfixing.Santa came in with a band (remember when I went to see Uncle Rock last January? He was there... with Santa... can you believe it?!?!?) that was playing rocky Christmas tunes. It was very fun and exciting, if not wet and cold. Mama says that it's really Christmas once Santa comes to "the green."
Leah, my older woman

My Christmas season was a real blast this year! On Christmas Eve, Mama and I made a rather harrowing journey to upstate NY to celebrate with Meema & Peepa. I had a wonderful couple days. But allow me to start with Christmas Eve night, when I met the woman of my dreams- a beautiful 13 year old named Leah.Subscribe to Comments [Atom]
