In the Army Now
What do you think of my new shirt? It's tres army chic, no? Just so everyone knows, I'm sorry for not looking at the camera. But Elmo was on, what can I tell ya? Anyway, Mommy & Grandma took me to Children's Place on Saturday and Mommy just couldn't resist. I also got my Easter outfit, which is ADORABLE! However, I don't want to spoil the magic of the surprise, so you'll have to wait until Easter to see it. Grandma also bought me some really cute onesies. My wardrobe is really something. Although my weekend started off exciting with a quick visit from Grandma (she was in town because Uncle Donnie's daddy died), it didn't end so well. M&D and I were all sick! We even had to miss lunch with Lucy and Evie at Lucy's new house. Such a bummer. M&D both had tummy troubles and starting Saturday and all day Sunday, I had a fever on and off. It was tired and mushy the whole day, but I have to say I was a trooper just the same. We watched a lot of TV, including "My Cousin Vinny"-- an M&D favorite. Lucky for me, Mommy stayed home from work on Monday to nurse us back to health. It worked and by 4:30pm, we were on our way to Target. Oh, that Mommy.
But, getting back to the title of this post, here is another look I like. Note the silly face. I get goofier by the day.

I should really host more playdates

On Monday, Mommy's friend Melissa came over with my pal, Natalie. You may remember Natalie from my previous blogs, "Rainy Sunday in NYC," "Hangin' with my Long Island Girls" and "My First Concert." Actually, now that I write it out, I've had a lot of fun times with Natalie and family!! Anyway, we've gone to Natalie's house on Long Island a few times so Melissa insisted that they come to us. M&D ran out to the grocery store at the last minute Monday morning and they got there before we got back. How embarrassing!
However, we had a blast. I showed her my toys (she especially liked my rockers) and we even enjoyed some delicious snacks together. Natalie has a wonderful grasp of the English language, so around her I had to get by on looks and dance moves mostly. Hey, whatever works right? My favorite Natalie phrases were, "What's dis?" and the fact that she calls me "Dude." Also, you should see her snap her fingers. Little girl's got some moves! We had originally planned on going to Funtime Junction. Evie and her friends went there a few months back and seem to have a very nice time (even if their Mommies were a bit concerned about germs!). After lunch, however, I was a bit crabby and ready for a nap. Natalie didn't take a nap either, so I think our mommies were afraid we'd a bit hard to handle in public. So we stayed here. It gave me more time to put the moves on Natalie in private, as you can tell. Matthew and Amanda will be visiting in March, so I hope we all get together then. I noticed that Mateo and Natalie were holding hands the last time they met up ( I was stuck in daycare that day because Mommy was working), so I may have a little competition then. Honestly, you should see Matthew's dancing. I gotta start practicing! Although it does look like I give good hugs, right?

Happy New Year!
February 18, 2007 was Chinese New Year! It is officially the year of the pig, which apparently is very lucky. Actually, it's a very fortunate to be born in this year. Let's not get crazy, though-- there's no way my sibling is going to be born this year. But anyway, the year of the pig is supposed to be very fortunate in regard to making money. So let's hope M&D make the big dollars this year, so this toddler can get lots of new toys!
Anyway, I celebrated the new year with Auntie Chung and Uncle Mike at Chung's mom's house. We all had to wear red, so it's a good thing I had this onesie in my arsenal. Momma Chiang made a delicious spread of food for us to eat. I even got my own red envelope! They're given for good luck and guess what... they have money in them. I didn't even know it had cash it in at the time, but don't I look excited anyway? I love gifts. I wonder what I should do with my bucks?! Actually, getting the envelope was a bit touch and go. Momma Chiang said I would only get it if I ate my dinner. Naturally, I was more interested in playing and showing off than eating. But she caved and gave it to me anyway! Thanks so much for thinking of me, Momma Chiang.
Here we are dancing right before we went home. I was sort of crashing after my sugar high, so I look a bit dazed. Ringing in the new year is always so exhausting!

Moving Day

Last Sunday, Lucy and her M&D moved from their house (that they sold) to a new apartment. They were originally going to move to NC, but they decided to wait until Lucy's younger brother is born. But they had already sold their house so they had to move. I must confess that I'm happy they're staying a few more months. AND, their new place is closer to us. So on Sunday Daddy and Evie's daddy went to help them move. I got to go to Evie's house for lunch with Mommy (much to Daddy's chagrin). Lucy came with her Nana and Grandpa, too. As if that weren't exciting enough, Evie's mommy's cousin, Auntie Auburn was there too, visting from Washington, DC. Okay, so this all sounds great, but for some reason, I was kind of crabby all day. Please note my look of disgust when Aubie put me at Evie's new table and chairs. I don't know what had come over me; it was just one of those days, I guess.
Lucy and Evie were adorable as ever and all in all, I did have some fun. I must admit that I very much like Auntie Aubie. She has a very nice way with kids and I found her very funny and pretty. She has also rekindled a relationship with an old flame she met in Europe years ago. Please see Evie's blog for all the exciting details!!! If you're reading this Aubie, I'm sorry, but Mommy made me put it in! I guess I can't really complain too much. I got to stay in a nice warm house, eating lasagna and blueberries with Mommy. Daddy and Uncle Florian came back home in the late afternoon after a very successful move and a few beers. I can't wait to see their new place!
Lucy's Grandpa took some wonderful pictures that day, as he always does. I want to add this one of me and Evie because it's quite precious, don't you think? We were looking at a squirrel. Ah, nature.

Big Ben
Mommy's friend, Jen, had her third baby boy a few weeks back! Can you believe it? Three boys! Andrew is about 6.5, Dalton just turned two and then there's Benjamin, AKA Ben. Jen's mommy and mother-in-law threw her a surprise party on Saturday to celebrate Ben's arrival. Grandma was also invited (she friends with Jen's mommy, Sandy), so Mommy and I decided to drive upstate to go. We had such a good time! Dalton had some really cool toys to play with. I didn't really know anyone, so I was kind of shy, but I was very well behaved. I even got to help open gifts! Ben was very cute (Mommy hates this picture of herself, but it's the only of Ben.) I got to pet his little head while Mommy held him and talked about how cute and little he was. She was definitely in love. Although she happily gave Ben back when he started to fuss. I really can't believe that I was ever that small!
I had a really great time, all in all. Lots of snacks were eaten, and I also got cake, which is never bad. I also got some quality time with Grandma. I totally melted her heart, as always. When we parted ways at the end of the party, I sat in my carseat waving, saying, "Bye Grandma!" in my sweet, little Joodles voice. I think I saw her tearing up. Man, I have that lady wrapped around my fat baby finger. Oh, before we went to the party, we went to Grandma's house and here's a funny picture of us. As you can tell from other posts, I love wearing glasses--sunglasses, reading glasses, whatever. Aren't we silly?
"And he shall be Joodles"

Look out, Elton John. There's a new kid in town. I'm one polka-dotted suit away from totally having the look down.
Special thanks to Evie for providing the "sasses."

The Cake Chronicles
"Hmmmm, cake. I think I'll just help myself."
"What? I'm not doing anything wrong! I'm just enjoying a little cake!"
"Oh man, this is GOOD!"
"Well, I'm done with that piece. I guess I'll ask the obvious question-- seconds, anyone?"
Why yes, I am ready for some football (and some cupcakes!)
Sunday was SuperBowl XLI! It was the Colts versus the Bears! M&D took me to Auntie Annette and Uncle Mark's house in Greenwich Village. They have a really big TV and they always have delicious food. Personally, my favorite were the football themed coconut cupcakes. I'm not sure how many entire cupcakes I consumed, but I'm pretty sure I put my fingers in most of them. I didn't watch *that* much of the game. Actually, I mostly flirted with the ladies and tore up their apartment. Oh and yeah, I streaked. I know everyone loves a nudey baby and there's nothing like sashaying into a room without clothes to really lighten the mood. I did break a 3D puzzle shaped like a globe (hey, it looked like a ball), but all things considered I was very well behaved. In fact, everyone commented on my great behavior. Not bad for a toddler in a non baby proofed apartment.
The highlight of the evening was definitely when one of Auntie Annette's friend brought her puppy down to visit. I screamed "dog dog" over and over again with much delight. I even got to give her treats and pet her. It was so exciting! I don't get to interract with many dogs (except for Mickey of course, who hates me!), so playing with Friday (cute name, right?) was a real treat.
All the all, the night was tons of fun. M&D were glad that the Colts won even though they didn't win anything in the football pools they were in. I got to stay up late, eat sweets and play all night with Mommy's super sweet friends. What more can I ask for really? Thanks Auntie Annette and Uncle Mark (as always) for the GREAT party!

Sasses Party
Unless you are an avid reader of Evie's blog (www. eviescribnotes. blogspot.com) like I am, you may not know that she's a bit obsessed with "sasses," which is Evie for "sunglasses." Not only does she love to wear them, but she rather enjoys making everyone around her wear them, too. I was a very good sport about it when we went to her house on Saturday. I wore the sasses with gusto and even kept them on long enough to pose for a few pics. See, M&D never take me over to Katie and Florian's house early enough for us to actually play together. So we were both pretty excited. Her mommy even said that that Evie gets especially excited when I visit. I gotta say, I appreciate her enthusiasm-- for the sasses AND for my company.
What's up, cuz?
On Saturday, Mommy's cousin, Gina came over with her daughter, Riley. Riley was born a month before me, so we're just about the same age. And get this-- Gina's sister, Jaci, has a son who's one month *younger* than me! Man, it must've been something in the air! But anyway, they came to visit us and Aunt Lynda and we had a really fun day. First Aunt Lynda took us shopping. I got the CUTEST camo pants and hoodie and Riley got a really sweet dress and striped sweater ( I hope to get to see her in it, she's mighty cute.) I also got a hat for St. Patrick's Day that says, "Lucky O' Days Boys Club. No Girls Allowed." Very cute. Aunt Lynda also bought Mommy and Gina some very nice tee shirts. After Old Navy, we came back to our apartment and hosted a little playdate. I slept for a good hour of it, but I sure did have fun with Riley while I was awake. I showed her all my toys and she showed off all her cute baby tricks. Here's a picture of us with Aunt Lynda. Mommy says this is a very nice picture! I have to agree.
Cold, hard facts
...AND happy.
However, let's not forget how silly I am!
You think I liked the pizza (peee-ka!) I had for dinner or what?
